Xing

New York City in the early 1990s, when house music ruled the underground and a party could feel like a family. Melissa (Mina Marlena) is drawn into that world through her raver friends, finding in the faux family of club life a belonging she cannot find anywhere else. She dreams of becoming a house DJ, and to afford the records she needs, she sells drugs, a bargain that feeds her ambition while pulling her toward danger. Director Rosa Costanza sets this short drama to the pulse of its scene, with Jordan Bridges and Michelle Parrott alongside Marlena, capturing both the euphoria of the dance floor and the precariousness of the life around it.
