Dori is a young woman in her mid-twenties haunted by childhood memories she cannot put down, above all her last moments with her mother. When she begins a new romance, she does not see a partner so much as a means: a way to stage those memories again and feel what she felt then. The reenactment turns coercive, then deadly.
