Voodoo Academy

Carmichael Bible College promises a wholesome education for the young men who enroll there, but the school is considerably less holy than its brochures suggest. New student Christopher Sawyer (Riley Smith) soon senses that something is wrong behind the ivy and the evening prayers, and he is right: the Reverend Carmichael (Chad Burris) and the coolly elegant Mrs. Bouvier (Debra Mayer) have plans for their students that involve far darker rituals than scripture study. As the faculty's sinister extracurricular activities come to light, the student body must fight to graduate with their bodies and souls intact. Directed by cult horror veteran David DeCoteau, Voodoo Academy is a landmark of the homoerotic B-horror style that became his signature, trading gore for atmosphere, moody dormitory sequences and a cast of handsome young actors including Huntley Ritter and Drew Fuller. A knowingly campy chapter in queer genre history.
