The DL Chronicles

Chadwick Williams is an aspiring journalist researching a book about men who live on the down-low, and the stories he uncovers form the spine of this groundbreaking anthology series. Each episode follows a different Black man leading a secret double life: a closeted real-estate banker tempted by his brother-in-law; a talent agent whose daughter discovers his sexuality; an ex-convict forced to rethink his reckless ways; and a couple hiding their relationship from a visiting cousin. Created, written and directed by real-life couple Quincy LeNear and Deondray Gossett, with Damian Toofeek Raven as Chadwick, the series was the first microbudget half-hour digital drama to air on a national cable network. It won the 2008 GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Anthology Series, the first show centered on Black queer love to do so.
