The Aussie Boys
This anthology from NQV Media gathers seven Australian short films into a single journey through gay lives Down Under, spanning centuries and landscapes. It opens in 1727 with Burning Soul, in which survivors of a wrecked Dutch East India Company ship test the limits of friendship on a hostile coast, and moves through the present day: a road trip that exposes an unspoken love triangle in Miles; a charged encounter between a motel guest and a soldier haunted by his service in Eric, starring Daniel Webber; a couple's final drive together before they part in All Good Things, with Joe Klocek and Jayden Byrne; a teenager whose feelings for an older man fracture his bond with his mother in What Grown Ups Know; three men circling desire in Infidels, featuring Joshua Morton; and, in The Dam, two older men returning to a place from their youth where long-buried feelings resurface for a last goodbye.
