Slay Model Search 2021

Slay Model Search returns for a new season of competition, bringing together twenty transgender model hopefuls from around the world who are all chasing the same prize: a contract with Slay Model Management, the first and only modeling agency devoted exclusively to transgender talent. Directed by RD Alba and featuring model Arisce Wanzer, this documentary special follows the contestants through the demands of the search, from castings and photo shoots to the pressure of standing out in a field of equally hungry competitors. Beyond the runway, the program is a portrait of an industry slowly opening its doors and of the young people determined to walk through them. Glamorous, competitive and quietly groundbreaking, it captures a moment when transgender beauty is claiming its place in fashion on its own terms.
