Lockdown forces a queer couple back under one roof, and a London studio flat becomes a pressure cooker. Xavier and Arthur cook, argue, circle each other and try to keep the peace in a space that offers nowhere to hide, and as the days blur together the tensions they once managed with distance begin to boil over. Directed by Caglar Kimyoncu in collaboration with writer Michael Achtman, this twenty-six-minute British drama was developed through weekly improvisations with its two actors, Delcio Ferreira and William McGeough, during the pandemic, then shot with a tiny crew over three days. Intimate to the point of claustrophobia, it looks candidly at control, dependence and the harm that can hide inside a relationship, and at how confinement strips away the illusions people keep about each other.
