Sauna

Johan thrives as a gay man in Copenhagen, working at a bathhouse and enjoying an endless circuit of bars, parties, and casual flings that keep anything serious safely at arm's length. Everything changes when he meets William, a transgender man in the early stages of his transition, and finds himself falling into a deep, disorienting love that defies everything he thought he understood about gender, identity, and the relationships available to him. As the two men navigate a community that doesn't quite have room for what they are to each other, Johan is forced to ask whether the freedom he has built is really freedom at all.
