Out Presents: Soundcheck

Presented by Out magazine and produced for Here TV, Soundcheck offers a front-row seat to intimate performances by musicians ranging from established favorites to rising talents. Directed by Keren Aronoff, each half-hour episode strips away the arena and the crowd in favor of close, unhurried sets, letting the artists' voices and songwriting carry the show. The first season, from 2010, brings together the Indigo Girls, Paula Cole, The Young Veins, Agnes and The Gay Blades, with further episodes featuring Patrick Wolf, Amanda Palmer, Ani DiFranco, Kele Okereke of Bloc Party, Our Lady J, Young the Giant, Sarah Blasko, Sarah Harmer and more. With queer artists and allies sharing the same small stage, the series is a relaxed, music-first showcase and a time capsule of the indie and pop scene at the turn of the 2010s.
