Other People's Bodies
A queer reimagining of the French classic La Piscine, Alan Brown's Other People's Bodies gathers four former friends and lovers at a secluded house for one hot summer weekend. What begins as a reunion soon reignites long-simmering passions, grievances, and regrets, as old attractions resurface and old betrayals refuse to stay buried. As the days blur into nights by the pool, alliances shift, secrets slip out, and the question of who wants whom, and who is willing to hurt whom to get it, turns a lazy holiday into something far more dangerous. McKinley Belcher III, Jasai Chase-Owens, Annie Parisse, and A.J. Shively lead a sharp ensemble in a sun-soaked drama about desire, jealousy, and the wreckage we leave in the people we once loved.
