On the Other Hand, Death: A Donald Strachey Mystery

When the residents of a quiet neighborhood are offered huge sums of money to sell their homes to a developer planning a mega-shopping mall, the only ones to refuse are an elderly lesbian couple, Dorothy and Edith. Soon after, their home is besieged by anti-gay vandalism, and private investigator Donald Strachey (Chad Allen) is hired to protect them. Don suspects the attacks are motivated by big business rather than bigotry, but as the case escalates into extortion, kidnapping, and murder, the truth proves far more tangled. Meanwhile, Don and his partner Timmy (Sebastian Spence) find their own relationship renewed by the example of a couple who have weathered forty years together. Margot Kidder co-stars in Ron Oliver's third film in the Donald Strachey mystery series.
