Modd Couples

Two couples, one gay and one straight, take their seats on a set dressed in the lurid colors of a 1970s game show and prepare to find out exactly how well they know each other. Emmy-nominated actor David Millbern hosts, with comedian Olivia Harewood beside him, guiding the contestants through three escalating rounds: Couples Speak, in which one partner uses inside references to coax a word out of the other; That's Super Awkward, in which intimate questions are answered separately and then compared, often to the horror of one party; and a lightning round built from Advocate.com surveys. The joke of Modd Couples is that every couple, whatever its makeup, bickers, blushes and bluffs in the same ways. Created for Here TV in 2016 and produced by Paul Colichman, Millbern and Terry Ray, the six-episode series features guests including Frank DeCaro, Jim Colucci and Scott Turner Schofield, and plays as a comedy in the costume of a retro game show.
