Life in Love with Nick & Kaiden

Nick and Kaiden are a new couple, still in the first flush of getting to know each other, and director Abel Rubinstein's documentary short follows them through the early days of their partnership. Set against London's queer community, with its shifting politics and overlapping social circles, the film observes the pair balancing an unconventional working life with the ordinary business of building a relationship: negotiating time, expectations and the pressures that come with being visible. Warm and unhurried, more interested in listening than judging, it is an affectionate portrait of two people learning what love looks like on their own terms.
