Fifteen-year-old Tobias remembers when his older brother Lucas was his whole world. Now Lucas has moved on, absorbed by his own life and friends, and treats his younger sibling with a distance that borders on contempt. Tobias wants the old closeness back and will go to awkward, sometimes reckless lengths to get Lucas to notice him again. Daan Bunnik's nine-minute Dutch drama stars Nils Verkooijen and Felix Osinga as the two brothers, and it observes the small cruelties and fumbling gestures of adolescence with real tenderness, letting the longing underneath Tobias's behavior speak louder than any confrontation. Headbutt screened widely on the festival circuit, including the International Film Festival Rotterdam, IDFA, Encounters, Uppsala and Aesthetica, collecting awards along the way.
