From Here on Out
Jimmy Randall is an aging gay writer who has finally sold his spy comedy to a struggling cable network, with one catch: the network insists he cast an openly gay leading man. Sam Decker, the handsome actor Jimmy hires, is perfect for the role except that he is straight, a secret both men now have to keep. To get the show on the air, the writer and his star must pass themselves off as a believable couple, in front of the network, the crew, and an ever-expanding household that becomes an unlikely family. Created and written by Terry Ray, who stars as Jimmy opposite T.J. Hoban as Sam, and directed by Sam Irvin, From Here on Out was Here TV's first original sitcom. Suzanne Whang, Juliet Mills, and Adrian Gonzalez round out the ensemble in six episodes of showbiz farce built on a very modern kind of closet.
