Daniel (Edmund Truong) and Jeremy (Tamario Fletcher) are best friends with an unusual gift: both are mediums who can sense and communicate with the supernatural entities that most Angelenos walk past every day. Short on rent and long on nerve, they turn that talent into a business, launching a service that lets anyone hire them to get rid of whatever is haunting, seducing or terrorizing them. Creator Tim O'Leary's horror-comedy series draws its monsters from global folklore rather than the usual vampires and werewolves, sending its heroes up against sirens, djinn, golems and an incubus with a taste for go-go boys, and it pairs the scares with martial-arts action and a frank, sex-positive sense of humor. Set in a Los Angeles where queerness is simply a given, Demonhuntr plays like a grown-up, LGBTQ+ spin on the mystery-solving gang formula. Ryan Leslie Fisher co-stars.
