Bros Before

Elijah and Billy are two trans bros who share everything: workouts, bad jokes, and a very particular kind of no-big-deal intimacy that they both insist is strictly platonic. But when Billy starts dating a woman, Elijah is forced to confront feelings he has been carefully not naming, and to ask himself whether what he wants from his best friend is friendship at all. Written and directed by Henry Hanson, Bros Before is a sharp, affectionate comedy short about masculinity, trans brotherhood, and the awkward gap between what we say we want and what we actually feel. Marten Katze and Radcliffe Adler bring easy chemistry and real heart to a story that finds the humor in vulnerability without ever laughing at its characters.
