Anatomy of a Relationship

Two men share a bond that neither wants to define too carefully. Instead of talking about where their relationship stands, they test it, each trying to satisfy the other's wishes of body and mind and seeing how far those wishes can be pushed before something gives. What begins as intimacy becomes a kind of experiment, with desire as both the question and the instrument. Italian filmmaker Nino Zeno keeps this short tightly focused on Fabio Cavalera and Lorenzo Hoffmann, whose performances turn a spare premise into a study of trust, control, and the blurry border between closeness and risk. Known in Italy as Anatomia di un rapporto, it is a brief, concentrated drama that says a great deal in only a few minutes.
